A Learning Experience

Producing hydroelectricity is the same whether it is at a giant hydroelectric generating station like La Grande 2 or at a small power station like Les Sept-Chutes. The biggest difference is that it would take 265 Sept-Chutes to equal the electrical production of La Grande 2 in Northern Quebec. At Les Sept-Chutes, just a short distance from Quebec City, everyone can discover the secrets of this technology.

Visitors can visit the former operators' room...

...and can go down onto the floor of the central for a close up look at the turbine - alternator groups.

You will also have the opportunity to visit the antique forge dating from 1926 with all the original tools.
