Once upon a time... there was a village.
Many hard-working foreigners came to the region in 1912 to build the generating station. Over the years, these workers and their families established a thriving village on the site. Interpretation Centre. |

| Isolated from the village of Saint-Ferreol-les-Neiges, these pioneers had to be very independent. They cultivated an immense garden and built a cold storage for their crops, a chicken coop, an ice house, a skating rink, a barn, a school and they raised livestock, all of which allowed them to be very self-sufficient. |
